The series touches dark subjects of abusive relationships, grief, and self-doubt, but the over-aching theme is self-love and development.
Where Heir to The Sun dwells on Aura's journey to find a family and friends, the planned sequel (being drafted as of July 2023) will bring her on a journey to find herself in a romantic relationship.
