This was a classic little horror tale full of eerie vibes and terrible people. I went in to it with my usual expectation of the protagonist being the good person, and was (pleasantly) surprised when she was not.
It was atmospheric and well-written that gave depth to the characters and their loving, yet dysfunctional, relationship. I loved the chronic illness representation and the MC's petty but also somewhat understandable reasoning. In other words, I support women's rights and wrongs, lol.
A great quick read to get in a spooky mood!
